Got blue eyes? We might be related!

Interesting post on LiveScience.com that "baby blues" came from a genetic mutation that occurred from one single ancestor about 6K to 10K years ago. The change happened when a genetic mutation "shut off" the ability to produce the standard issue brown eyes and diluted them to blue. The findings show that through DNA they can trace the mutation to a single common ancestor. The trait was a maternal mutation, so thanks mom!
