The space robots and the terrible secrets of space
Some reason this popped into my head today, the flash video for the space robots and the terrible secrets of space. Go to this link and hit "watch this movie". Pak Chooie Unf.
Transformers! GI JOE! Sherlock Holmes! Public Enemy (another John Dillenger movie)! And one that I completely didn't know was coming out, Where the wild things are, a childrens book about a boy who visits a land full of monsters.
Just blazed through season 4.0 of BSG in record time. The show rules. I like that they went back to the "story arc" as opposed to package episodes in season 3 which wasn't as effective. And of course, four of the "final five" Cylons were revealed. Who is 12? If you ask me it's Lee Adama. Here's why I think so, and it's one episode that kind of gives it away. When Admiral Adama offers Lee back his CAG pins, Lee refuses, and to me reveals that he's a Cylon:
1. His new motives are based on "feelings" he's been having. And if you know the show, the Cylons are alway compelled by their higher calling and religious purpose, which is, in turn, some sort of sabotage to human society. Pretty much the base of the season 4 was 'The 4' contemplating what control they have over their own free will, and what is their inner Cylon program; which they wanted to feel they had "control" over. Although nothing really ever played out, they were in fear of it, and at the mercy of it - if it did kick in, having haunting flashes of inner urges (like Tigh gunning down the Admiral similar to Boomer). Granted this might be a little shaky, but the series would go full circle, and Lee would be acting out a more complex version of what Boomer did; sabotaging the Battlestar, whereas Lee will sabotage the legal system and humanity.
2. He hinted at how devastating it would've been if it was his brother Zach crawling out of the Viper as opposed to Starbuck, and if they revealed themself as a Cylon. Would his thoughts change he asked. To me, he's getting a feelers of how devastated/what reacation the Admiral would be if one of his boys turned out to be a Cylon, (and pretty devastated after Col Tigh revealed himself, just imagine how so when/if it's Lee). The Cylon conversion could've occured wayyy back in Lee's flight school, where Zach died, which he could've orchestrated, or any of the times he was off ship, in Pegasus, or on any of his lone wolf missions where he saved the day, only may have died and the Cylon copy was inserted.
3. He's an up and coming in the BSG political game, in the president's Quorom (sp?), served as president himself, prob will serve again as Rosalind gets sicker, and therefore, can do the most damage. In the BSG universe, the Admiral and President have rivaled power, but if Lee were to reveal himself with evil intentions as the final Cylon, he'd not only have military knowledge, but also new political knowledge, making him the most powerful all of the Cylons (if he is #12).
That's what I think. BSG is always full of surprises, so we'll see what happens. I will say I'm a little underwhelmed by the usual stellar marketing they are doing for the fourth season. Maybe to keep it as tight lipped as possible? I dunno. But the promo for season 3 was my favorite:
I also watched the preview for "Caprica". I wasn't really intrigued until I saw on its wikipedia entry that the pilot is being directed by the director who has done work on Friday Night Lights (best show ever) and would be well equipped to handle "the first sci fi family drama" as they are calling it.
