Music Vids in Chi-town
I've been catching up on my music videos on FUSE, been noticing a lot of new vids are being shot in Chicago.
The Plain White Tees, "1, 2, 3, 4":
The Fray, "You Found Me".
And lastly, Rise Against's video for ReEducation (Through Labor), which I think is disturbing. In a post 9/11 world is it really necessary to show Chicago after a staged terrorist attack by a bunch of motorcycling riding hipsters? I used to be a big fan of the band, but their new stuff is off the tracks, and it's meaning is lost on me. This goes for the video for Audience of One, which is supposedly about politics, but goes off on a visual tangeant about war, and the actual song is pretty much unrelated to the visuals. Artists need to rethink their messages for more clarity.
